The Camrose Carpool, funded by the Government of Alberta as part of the Rural Transportation Pilot Program, is launching on February 25, 2019.
The Camrose Carpool is an innovative, user-friendly, web-based carpooling program (including a phone-in option) that will create opportunities for people to connect, carpool and share the cost of transportation. Participants will include local/rural residents, Rose City Taxi, Armand’s Cabs, the Bashaw Bus Society and Rose City Handi-Van.
The program is free to use, has user ratings to help ensure user accountability and safety, and is mobile friendly. Users can post or view rides through the website www.camrosecarpool.ca or use the call-in feature at 780-781-8781.
The Camrose Carpool project will help increase transportation options in and around Camrose for Albertans without access to a private vehicle, while reducing single-car travel.
For more information or to post & view carpool opportunities, visit www.camrosecarpool.ca or call 1-780-781-8781
